Starting Friday, June 10, my aunt with me, it is not far from 14. Direction: The castle of Turenne. After a ten minute drive, we arrive to the medieval village of Turenne and his castle.
Unfortunately, the sky is cloudy.
We park down in the parking lot in front of the tourist office at the entrance of the main street, there is an open cave that tells us a part of the history of the Vicomte de Turenne,
the history of its image the evolution of the castle through the ages with three walls built in the space of several centuries. We pass an old cellar door, closed it, decorated with
Passiflora, before continuing to rise.
Going back a little main street leading to the castle we have two choices: the steep climb and then climb fast or easy that goes around the castle.
We choose the latter option, which allows us to have a gradual rise overlooking the village and the region.
With occasionally a party would want to take much for Indiana Jones and exploring ancient passages:
After turning around the castle, we reach a small square which I can take a picture of Caesar Tower standing proudly on top of the castle.
We climb the 150 stairs to the main gate of the castle and the view is pretty well:
Finally arrived in the superior court of the castle, we can see some old arches surrounding gardens.
At that time, after time goes continued to deteriorate, that it's raining rain. We hasten to take refuge inside the tower Caesar. The stairs are steep but
neither they nor rain will keep me going up the tower to take pictures.
After a short climb complicated by the camera equipment, I am the highest point of Turenne, along with the rain still as strong and a little wind.
But even if the view is blocked because of the clouds, the look is far:
And the top of the tower, we have a superb view of the gardens of the castle:
After enjoying the view (and rain) for a good half hour, it's time to go down ... the steps are even more difficult now than the climb. At the exit of the tower,
I want to make a HDR gardens''to the ground'':
We slowly descend the castle, taking the steep road as the rain stops:
Came down, we will see the artisan-turner in his workshop. There are lots of dust and chips ... This is normal as it work to our clients to form a whole range of wooden parts made
with different species of talent.
