Saturday 1st June, 7 crews, total distance of 13.2km in the mud, desert, forest, rivers... This is the launch of the first Challenge RCCTLC (RC Camel Trophy Leman Club) For this first step: 3.2 km of desert with a little mud, crossing rivers and finally a swim.

To reach the forest, it is necessary that the column crossed the river and the second part of the desert. For the river, fortunately, a bridge can be crossed without getting wet wheels.

After crossing the desert where crews took pleasure in bedding plants that stood in front of their bumper. But entering the forest part of the step is not without difficulties and again 1 and 5 crew find themselves stuck in the mud.

While the three crew comes to help out of the mud two teams, it was the turn of the second crew to have worries. But it is far worse because the rear differential just dropped. Defender finds herself in front-wheel drive only, which will do nothing to help for the next step. Fortunately he can count on a strong mutual aid linking all crews convoys.
And he's going to have to help for the big climb, running, waterlogged makes the leaves, rocks, pebbles, roots and branches very slippery. Even with good tires which are fitted on vehicles, sliding is ensured. And it does not take long, just a few meters from the fact that the fifth crew be found on the sidewall. A particularly high root blocks the passage to the crew 3 but taking the momentum, it ends up going out without his winch.
The top is in sight, it only remains to make a muddy neck to get there. Fortunately, the crew can gain momentum to cross. Without this, winches summers would output.
Once on the set, things are simplified, no big obstacle, slightly downhill, everything goes well for nearly a kilometer.
After borrowing a simulated road, convoys out to get to the point of view: the edge of the cliff. Take a break!

From the outset, we must again climb. Several crews are tumbling, the No. 3 crew escapes through collective that allows it to pass without too many problems with this corner difficult. However, the team No. 4 passes also the case'' problem'': the direction unresponsive. It remains for him to be towed to finish the day.

Shortly after, a difficult looks, the downside risk is high, but fortunately, no car will be right. However, arrived at the ledge overlooking the river, it was the turn of the N ° 7 car to have a worry: loss of attachment of the wheel to the axle. With no emergency vehicle, a special transport is organized to retrieve a box of equipment to the nearest base camp.

An hour later, the vehicle is repaired, crews are rested, the adventure can continue. Descent on a forest path, metal bridge, crossing muddy creek, the former river bed, this is not the land shortage and difficulties along the way. Fortunately, the passage of the steel bridge, the direction of the fourth vehicle meets last! This allows him to move with others without problem and thus regain its place in the column of vehicles. Shortly before the end of the convoy the opportunity to have a guard of honor by a patrol of young scouts watching passing vehicles with fun and interest.
The cars are in the river during this time and after a few tens of meters appears the sandy beach. Immediately, it is fair, all the crews rush to the water. And while some people take for yellow submarine the Beatles song, others take advantage of the water to clean up a little body and clean and ready for the end of the course which is now very close.

After half an hour to cool off, everyone will start again, it's time to complete the course of the day. We find the slope of sand noon. This is much more complicated to get that down as crews are tired as well as vehicles and sand runs as soon as you put a little acceleration and low end that is party .
Finally, after several hours, a lot of breaks and falls but no vehicles have been abandoned or have to fend for themselves. That's the spirit Camel Trophy!
