Sunday, September 14, I am invited to the final trial of 4x4 Jussy Pers. Leaving home at 7am, arrive at customs Moëllesulaz at 9am and arrived at the site about 30 minutes later.
Dozens of crews are present with their vehicles of all categories: series, improved series, super series, prototypes, trucks.
Above all, the videos! Yes yes, the videoS. A performed on a 1987 Range Rover 1:10 and on all day.
In the morning I put my Defender Camel Trophy expo with other RC, and go for a walk on the field with the first races of the day:
On site, a portion of the land is dedicated to completely overturned Protos and Trucks, it's very impressive! Decks front and back are directional, each wheel can be locked as it sees fit, front and
rear differentials can be locked separately too. On top of that, each wheel has a cylinder allowing it to be lifted from the frame up to 80cm! All this, coupled with the talents of drivers allows the
vehicle to go almost anywhere, as seen on the video!
It also allows the crew to do a little crazy or end up on its wheels after putting on through ... To a certain extent (poor Unimog). Some remain in the parking lot such huge yellow Renault Truck.
Returning for a moment on the RC space, I do some video and photo évoluants of vehicles in the area. Some in positions that have nothing to envy the real vehicles, except that here, the
drivers less likely to be injured.
The vehicles are parked just where they can, and it makes some funny pictures, besides the decoration of some vehicles.
We leave shortly after for a walk with the 1987 Range Rover and axial scx-10. Dust, it's fun!
During the ride, we enjoy a bit of the show several vehicles (trucks and prototypes still have fun on the field). Income on RC space is sitting 'family photo', 3 scales on the show: my Defender, yellow
Jeep and Range Rover. There are many vehicles less scales and more oriented crawler:
Clods and stones flying in the corner: the prototypes are now shifting their climbing boulders trials, and it is very impressive!
The day ends with the awards for the various crews, while I quietly returned home, engine noise still ringing in my memories.
